We’ve enhanced the appointment scheduling feature in the provider web app to offer users more flexibility when booking appointments. Along with the current method of selecting appointments by provider, users can now schedule appointments based on the appointment date. This new feature streamlines the scheduling process, making it easier for users to view available providers and their respective time slots for a specific date, improving overall efficiency in scheduling.
How It Works
Users now have two routes for booking appointments in the scheduling drawer:
1.Book by Provider (Current Flow):
- Users can select a provider and view their available time slots to book an appointment.
2.Book by Appointment Date (New Flow):
- Users can select the desired date for the appointment, which will generate a real-time list of all available providers for that specific date.
- The system will display the providers along with their available time slots, allowing users to select the most convenient option at a glance, rather than scrolling through each provider's schedule individually.
Key features include:
- Real-Time Availability: The list updates in real time to reflect changes in provider schedules, ensuring that users see only current availability.
- Mandatory Location: The location field is now mandatory during the appointment booking process on the provider app, even for virtual appointments.
