Streamlined Patient Alerts in Fold Sidecar

We're excited to introduce our new Patient Alerts feature in the Fold Sidecar. This enhancement brings critical patient information directly into your workflow, making it easier to manage care opportunities without switching contexts.  

 

How it works: 


1) Accessing Alerts: Open a patient's profile in your EHR software and look for the new "Alerts" section in the “Insights” tab of the Fold Sidecar. 





2) Viewing Alerts: Alerts are organized in buckets by state and severity, helping you focus on urgent matters. Each alert shows key details:  

  • Type (e.g., Orders, Clinical Findings, Care Gap etc. ) 
  • Title 
  • Description 
  • Available actions 




3) Taking Action: For each alert, you can:  

  • Resolve: Mark as addressed 
  • Dismiss: Remove if not relevant 
  • Snooze: Temporarily hide for a specified period

 



4) Additional context-specific actions may include:  

  • Booking an appointment 
  • Adding a task 
  • Sending an assessment 
  • Providing educational content to the patient 


5) Managing Alert Status:  

  • Use status filters to view alerts in different states:  
  • Pending: New alerts needing attention 
  • Dismissed: Removed alerts 
  • Resolved: Addressed alerts 
  • On Hold: Snoozed alerts 


6) Team Collaboration:  

  • Alerts can be assigned to specific providers or care teams by means of actions (eg. Assign a task to a care team member to follow up on the alert) 
  • Some actions (like resolving) update for all users, while others (dismissing or snoozing) are user-specific. 

 

Please Note: Currently, customers can push alerts to Fold using our Task API. This allows for seamless integration of your existing alert systems with Fold, ensuring that critical patient information is always at your fingertips. Please reach out to customer success team to enable this feature.
