SMS Notifications for Appointment Status Updates

As a Fold user, you can now send an SMS to the provider involved in an appointment every time an appointment status is added or updated via Fold automations.  


How It Works 


1) Go to Settings > Automations > + Create  

 

2) Select Appointment Automation 

 


3) Select “Select a trigger condition”  

 


4) Select “When a schedule is added or updated” 

 

5) Name your automation and click “Next” 

 

6) Click + button to add action node 

 


7) Select “SMS” under the Actions section 

 


8) In the “Send To” section, select Provider in Appointment 

 


9) Either type the SMS you want to send in the “Body” section or select a pre-existing template by selecting a category and the template in the “Category” and “Template” section 

 

10) Click “Save”  

 

11) Add any additional nodes to your automation and then be sure to save your automation. 


Additional Details  

1) Dropdown Options for SMS Notifications: 

  • Member in Appointment: This option sends an SMS to the member involved in the appointment. 
  • Provider in Appointment: This option sends an SMS to the provider involved in the appointment. 
  • Select Member or Staff: This option allows users to choose a specific member or staff member to send the SMS to. 

2) Provider/Staff Phone Number Mapping: For providers or staff members, the phone number mapped to their profile will be used for SMS notifications.
