As a Fold user, you can now define a custom inbox name, allowing your email recipients to see your customized name instead of just your email address.
How It Works
1) Go to Settings > Messages > Inboxes > Select Edit icon by the mailbox you want to update
2) Enter the name you would like to appear in the “Inbox Name” section and check “Use this name for email recipients”
3) Click save and the updated inbox name will now display in the settings.
Additional Details
- Sending Emails with Custom Name: When sending an email, the recipient will see the email as being sent from the custom inbox name (e.g., "John Doe test@fold.health") instead of just the email address. A checkbox is available under the inbox name setting to respect the custom name added. If this checkbox is enabled, the custom name will be used.
- Email Reception Consistency: Recipients will see the custom inbox name in the "Inbox name" field and the email address in the "Inbox Email" field.
- Fallback to Email Address: If the checkbox is not set, the recipient will see the email as being sent from the user's email address (e.g., "test@fold.health")
Note: This feature is only applicable for Gmail Inboxes.
