Fold is now introducing a new automation feature that creates tasks in Fold based on referrals (consult orders) from Athena. This feature streamlines your workflow by automatically generating tasks for in-office referrals, ensuring that important patient care steps are not overlooked.
How It Works
1) Set Up the Automation: Go to Settings > Automations > + Create
2)Choose “Patient Referral Automation”
3)Select “Select trigger condition”
4) Select “When a patient referral is added or updated”. Name your automation and click "Next".
5) Configure task creation by selecting "Task" as an action.
6) Choose settings for your task, such as assignee and priority. Then click save.
7) Add any additional items to your automation and then save the automation

9 ) Task Details: The task will include key information from the Athena consult order:
11) Task Management: Once created, you can manage these tasks like any other in Fold. Additional actions such as communication tasks can be added to the workflow.
12)Status Tracking: The system tracks referral statuses including "Submitted", "Submit", and "Closed".
Please Note: This feature is exclusively available for practices using Athena as their EHR system. To get started, please reach out to our Customer Success team. They'll work with you to identify which clinical providers' referrals should trigger task creation in Fold.
